Overview
The purpose of a 1-on-1 program is to offer personalized information for reclaiming and maintaining health, awareness, and transformation. Our focus is on education. I won’t hand you a quick-fix or fad diet – I want to help you learn true holistic health that is sustainable. I won’t just tell you what to eat – I will educate and help you discover how to eat, and how to live a vibrant life by looking at all aspects of your life.
If you can understand why you need to do something, you are much more likely to do it, and the how takes care of itself. I will ensure that you understand how you reached the level of health you are currently experiencing, and how you are going to get back to optimal health. You will have a clear understanding of your main concern and how you will reach your health goals. You’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to take your health into your own hands.
Step 1: Initial Assessment
During your first session, also known as your initial assessment, along with you, I will review the detailed Intake Form you’ll have filled out before starting. I’ll be covering your full health history, family health history, extensive symptom analysis, diet and lifestyle assessment, asking about lifestyle patterns such as your sleep patterns, your stress levels and emotions, your connection to nature, and any supplements, over-the-counter medications, or prescription medications you are taking.
In some cases, I will do an eating habits interview and food journal evaluation – prior to your consultation, you’ll have logged your food and beverage consumption in a food journal. I’ll want to hear all about what you are consuming on a day-to-day basis.
I will also want to hear what you do for fun, what kind of movement you do, and how often. The types of personal care products you use, the environment you live in, and the type of people that surround you. These are just some of the things that we will cover together and confidentially during your first session.
You will leave with your first action steps, which are the very first things you need to address to start building a foundation towards feeling better. These first steps often include some small food changes, such as the oil you cook with, adding movement to your life or getting to bed earlier. You’ll be given guidelines and may be sent a few educational handouts based on your needs.
Step 2: Program Development
Once I have this full history, I can tailor your personalized health suggestions to your needs. Every session is subject to change and specifically tailored for you. Generally, it can include:
- Â Overview of the long-term approach for sustainable holistic health
- Â Suggestions on main concern and health goals
- Â Specific recommendations to address symptoms
- Â Health practices for renewed vitality
- Â Dietary recommendations for your bioindividuality
- Â Example meal plan
- Â Detoxification protocol
- Â Snack guidelines and ideas
- Â List of foods with nutrients to support your health concerns
- Â Lifestyle recommendations for optimal wellness
- Â Fostering community and emotional health
- Â Good movement practice
- Â Nature connection suggestions
- Â Stress management, gratitude and meditation practice
- Â Traditional and therapeutic whole food supplement protocol
- Â Supportive handouts
- Â Intention and goal setting
Step 3: Program Implementation
This will be your time to start making positive changes based on what you’ve learnt. Within your sessions, I will explain your tailored action plan that will help you resolve the symptoms you’ve been experiencing and lead you on a path of sustainable, holistic health. You’ll learn about the processes going on in your body that are responsible for the way you feel. I want you to understand why you are experiencing symptoms before I talk about how to address them. If you are going to be making food and lifestyle changes, knowing why is going to make it a whole lot easier and motivating!
Step 4: Support
I will be available for your ongoing support via email throughout the duration of your program or course. In your follow-up sessions, I will review your progress and discuss how you are adapting to the changes. This is when you will be able to ask all your questions, voice any challenges or obstacles you may be having, and have small tweaks made to your action plan if required. The time can be used in whichever way you see fit.
