Pregnancy Boost Shake

The digestive tract is more sensitive, and as the pregnancy progresses, the size of the stomach shrinks because of the growing womb. Often food intolerances or many new likes and dislikes develop. To adapt, the shift to diet may frequent small and simple but nourishing meals. Nutritious liquid meals are a good choice. From protein powders to fruit or vegetable smoothies, drinks can be in packed with nutrients.
Blend together
½ cup unsweetened apple juice
1-2 tsp blackstrap molasses
1 banana
1-2 tsp nutritional yeast
1 tbsp chia seeds (or freshly ground flaxseeds)
1-2 tbsp honey (or Pure maple syrup)
1/3 tsp powdered kelp (or seamoss)
½ tsp spirulina or chlorella (optional)
1 tbsp plant based protein powder (from brown rice, hemp or split pea)
½-1 cup almond milk (or other nut milk)
Optional: Your DHA oil supplement of choice (or virgin coconut oil)
Ice and water as needed
This shake can be nuevo to the pregnant woman's special desires and the flavors she can tolerate. If something in the drink does not appeal, avoid it and try something else.
