Are you an energetic, easy going hard worker looking for an amazing opportunity in the Caribbean? Beyond Vitality Health and Nature Retreat is looking for you! Everything we do is with holistic living, great health and happiness in mind. We are seeking candidates for our Work Exchange and Internship program.

Leave your fast paced, chaotic life behind and come join us on “The Nature Island”, known as Dominica. We’ve been hard at work transforming our place. We are a family run business in the process of developing our own sustainable property and small retreat. In the near future, we’re excited to be opening Beyond Vitality Health and Nature Retreat – a small, off the grid, bed & breakfast style accommodation in the jungle. You don’t need prior experience, just an openness to learn, flexibility and patience! We are always trying to improve our space and create new projects. We are specifically looking for those with creative minds who can see the opportunities around them, devise solutions, jump in and get their hands dirty. We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who are willing to give us a few hours of honest help per day, in exchange for free accommodation, low cost organic meals and an opportunity to learn about holistic health, nutrition and fitness, sustainable living, local lifestyle and community, with friendly hosts in a beautiful tropical paradise. Our peaceful property, found on the side of a mountain with cool elevations and sea views, is surrounded by virgin rainforest, a botanical garden, landscaped lawns with flowers, and a stream running through it. We have 6 acres of rich agricultural land as made evident by the abundance of organic fruit trees. Our main lounge is traditionally built of cob. We have a campground, a hammock hut, a wooden open-air cabin, and a couple beautiful cob cabins in the making.

At Beyond Vitality, we are all about getting back to nature, and completely off the grid – no television or phones, limited Internet access, no city noises or traffic, and we’re on solar power and fresh clean spring water runs throughout the property. You can experience true nature, organic homegrown food, natural fresh water pools, unobstructed stargazing, and the amazing sounds of the jungle. We are not your regular hotel or bed & breakfast – our aim is to provide you with a unique experience!

Our retreat is a place made with the intention of helping our guests truly connect to nature and leave with a feeling of health and rejuvenation. We are proud to offer our services in such a special place on earth! We are willing to continue exchanging this good vibe with nice people who want to share it too.

Beyond Vitality is in the Commonwealth of Dominica, found in the heart of the Caribbean, along the Eastern Caribbean archipelago. Dominica is the true, laid back, friendly Caribbean – untouched and real! It’s common reference as “The Nature Island” says it all. It’s the perfect mix of eco tourism, nature, wellness, culture and friendly people. Dominica has many natural attractions and uncountable places to visit! If you’re in need of more adventure, nearby is a large range of activities and excursions to choose from.

Volunteers will play an integral role in the upkeep of our retreat. Every member of the team is part of our community here at Beyond Vitality. We offer a unique opportunity for experiential learning in health, permaculture and sustainability while living in a beautiful place, eating well, and working with a group of like-minded people seeking to make a difference. We have two programs available. Volunteers are needed in many areas, lots of hard work but also lots of reward. To serve and be served is something really nice to experience, it is the perfect place to learn and you have an amazing time.

We look for people that really want to volunteer and understand our concept - proactive and positive thinking people. We offer a work environment that gives you the opportunity to explore. We try to create place so people can expand their vision and see their real potential. If you are just looking for a free place to sleep, we are not what you are looking for. If you are looking for a place to expand your mind, learn new stuff, share what you know, work and help, then come visit us! We offer a very nice work environment and as much training as needed.

Volunteering isn't just for solo backpackers; it's a great way to have an affordable and rewarding family trip. Many people ask us, “Can I bring my children?” or “Where are the children going to go when I volunteer?” Yes, absolutely, you can volunteer at Beyond Vitality Health and Nature Retreat with your children. And they will be right beside you of course! Volunteering with children can be an incredibly rewarding experience, for everyone involved. It will be an eye opening experience for the whole family.
